This program is currently on hold due to COVID-19. Please check back frequently for updates.
The purpose of the Pack Peers program shall be to bring together a diverse group of students who have a passion for health care, health education and wellness. Through a combination of specialized training and leadership development, the program will create and nurture peer leaders desiring to make a difference at North Carolina State University. The Pack Peers Program has two distinct tracks. The first track prepares students for a range of population level, public health related careers. The second track prepares students for clinical level, health related careers.
Aligned with the mission of Student Health Services, the mission of Pack Peers is to enhance student success by promoting a holistic approach to health and wellness. Through leadership, education and awareness, peer educators provide quality, innovative and inclusive workshops, services, programs and events to meet the health needs of their peers. Members who choose to further their experience, by joining the clinical volunteer program, will be presented with the opportunity to build knowledge and skills by observing clinicians in the healthcare setting. This experience will prove to be invaluable for those who wish to pursue health related careers.
