Flu Vaccinations
Flu vaccinations are available for students, faculty and staff on campus via appointments throughout the semester.
How to schedule an appointment
Beginning in September, you can make an appointment to get your flu vaccine online via the HealthyPack Portal or by calling 919-515-2563. No appointments are necessary for the walk-in flu clinics listed below.
Flu vaccines will be offered to all primary care and gynecology patients during their visit, if clinically appropriate. The pharmacy offers flu vaccines by appointment Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 to 4 p.m., and Tuesdays 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 to 4 p.m.
Before arriving for your appointment
You will need to upload a copy of your insurance card to the HealthyPack Portal using the Insurance tab at the top of your HealthyPack Portal prior to your flu shot appointment. If you have not done so before your appointment, you will be asked to do it at or after your appointment. You will check in for your flu shot appointment before entering the Campus Health Center using the same process as a provider visit.
Insurance
Campus Health accepts select insurance plans – click here for more information. Students with other insurance plans will have $25 charged to their university student account.
*If you have been displaying symptoms, are not feeling well leading up to or on the day of your appointment, or have tested positive for COVID-19 in the past two weeks, we ask that you reschedule your flu shot appointment for a later date.
For more information on the flu vaccine and how to protect yourself, visit the CDC’s flu website.
How to get a shot at a walk-in flu clinic
There is no appointment necessary to get a flu vaccine at a walk-in flu clinic location.
