Specialty Clinics
Gastroenterology Clinic
Gastroenterology (GI) is the branch of medicine concerned with the study and treatment of diseases and disorders of the stomach and intestines and their associated organs.
Gastroenterology Services Provided
Campus Health offers on-site GI specialty appointments, typically one Wednesday a month, in partnership with North Raleigh Gastroenterology during the fall and spring semesters. GI specialty clinic appointments are reserved for chronic conditions. For routine or acute nausea, vomiting and/or diarrhea, please make an appointment with a Campus Health provider. All students who have paid the student health fee are eligible to make appointments for GI specialty services.
How to Make an Appointment
New patient paperwork can be found on NRGI Patient Form.
If you need to contact North Raleigh Gastroenterology directly please call 919-846-9011.
Missed appointments
If you are unable to make your appointment, please call 919-515-2563 at least 24 hours in advance to cancel or reschedule. North Raleigh Gastroenterology charges a $25 no-show fee for missed appointments.
Referrals and Costs
Please contact your health insurance company for coverage and referral requirements prior to scheduling your appointment. If a referral is needed before you can see a specialist, you can make an appointment with a Campus Health medical provider, who can provide this referral at no cost to you. Because GI specialty visits are with an outside provider there are charges for each visit. To assist you, North Raleigh Gastroenterology will file your insurance claim. You are responsible for any charges incurred during the visit and will be billed by North Raleigh Gastroenterology. These charges cannot be billed to your student account.
