Daniel Passonno MPH
Bio
Daniel Passonno (he/him) became a member of the Wolfpack in January 2023. Passionate about college health, some of his main duties include providing campus-wide initiatives designed to foster healthy lifestyles, educating students about various health issues, and managing outreach programs aimed at promoting healthy choices and health-enhancing behaviors for the entire campus community.
Before coming to NC State, Dan was the Coordinator of Health Promotion at Texas A&M University – Corpus Christi. In this role, he advised the Islander Peer Educators and led health promotion efforts on topics such as alcohol and other drugs, sexual health, mental health, sleep, stress management, healthy relationships, sexual consent, and others. Dan earned a Master of Public Health with a concentration in social and behavioral sciences and a Bachelor of Science in Public Health with a concentration in health promotion and education from Kent State University.
In his free time, Dan enjoys all things sports-related and stays active by doing HIIT workouts, playing tennis and pickleball, hiking, and exploring fun things to do in the area. Additionally, he loves all dogs he meets and is always looking for the best places to eat in Raleigh and welcomes any suggestions!
