Bio

Alma Furst joined the NC State University Campus Health Center in the winter of 2016. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Therapy from Northeastern University in 1994 where she graduated Summa Cum Laude. She also completed her Strength and Conditioning Specialist Certification through the NSCA in 1996. She then completed a Sports Medicine Fellowship with Healthsouth, the American Sports Medicine Institute, and UNC.  Her primary areas of interest and experience are in orthopedics, sports medicine, and powerlifting. She was a college athlete as a varsity diver for one year, then spent her remaining time competing in throwing events for the varsity indoor and outdoor track and field team.
