STI Express

Screening for sexually transmitted infections (STI’s) is important for anyone who is sexually active. Primary Care at Student Health offers STI testing for students.

STI tests include chlamydia and gonorrhea at all sites of sex (vaginal, anal, throat) and blood tests for HIV, syphilis, and sometimes Hepatitis.

To participate in STI Express patients must:

  • Not have any symptoms of an STI
  • Not been exposed to someone with an STI
  • Not be recent survivors of sexual assault (rape) in the last 3 months

To start this process, follow the steps below:

  • Log into the HealthyPack Portal
  • Go to the Forms Tab
  • Complete and submit the STI Express Questionnaire

If you qualify, the provider orders your tests and sends you a secure message with instructions on how to schedule an appointment online.

  • You collect the chlamydia & gonorrhea swabs yourself when you arrive at Student Health at your appointment time and blood is collected in the Lab at Student Health.
  • Bring your insurance card with you to pay for the testing. If you would like to “self-pay”, please check the box in the STI Express questionnaire.
