Bio

Maria Limmen joined the clinical staff at NC State Campus Health in 2020 to provide services in Occupational Medicine.She graduated from the University of Leiden in the Netherlands with a BA in history in 1988, and also earned an ABA in business while there. After moving to the United States at the age of 22, she completed her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing at Misericordia University in 1996. She went on to earn her Master of Science Degree in Nursing in the Family Nurse Practitioner program at Duke University in 2007. She is board certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), and by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AAFP), and holds a certification in Wilderness Medicine.
