Services offered at Student Health Services Centennial 

Primary Care

Our providers see students for a variety of common conditions, including but not limited to:

  • Colds and flu‐type illnesses
  • Injuries (X‐ray services provided at Student Health-Main Campus)
  • Rashes and other skin disorders
  • Headaches and head injuries
  • Ear infections
  • Sore throats and other mouth or neck problems
  • Asthma and other chest symptoms such as chest pain and shortness of breath
  • Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and other gastrointestinal problems
  • Pregnancy testing

Nutrition Counseling

Registered Dietitians are available to provide nutrition counseling for current NC State students.

Services Offered

In addition to general healthy eating recommendations, we provide Medical Nutrition Therapy for the following diseases/disorders:

  • Overweight/Obesity
  • Weight gain/Increase lean muscle mass
  • High blood pressure (hypertension)
  • High cholesterol (hyperlipidemia)
  • Diabetes (Type 1 and Type 2)
  • Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS)
  • Vitamin/Mineral deficiencies
  • Food Allergies
  • Eating Disorders (Anorexia, Bulimia, Binge Eating Disorder)
  • IBS/IBD/Crohn’s/Gastrointestinal Disorders
  • Sports Nutrition

Cost of Appointments

Each student is allowed two free nutrition counseling visits per academic year. For each additional visit, there will be a $60 charge that can be billed to your insurance or paid out of pocket. A $25 no show will be charged for all appointments not cancelled or rescheduled in advance.
